Le Mai des Langues célèbre le plurilinguisme, la diversité culturelle et les talents linguistiques de nos élèves. Au lycée français international de Kyoto, cet événement met en lumière des projets créatifs et pédagogiques, fruits de l’apprentissage des langues et de l’ouverture au monde. Cette année, nos élèves s’illustrent à travers des portraits parlants, des discours iconiques, une chanson sur l’amitié franco-japonaise et des lectures de contes.

À partir de tableaux royaux, les élèves de Terminale ont imaginé une manière originale de faire parler l’Histoire. En détournant les codes de la représentation monarchique, ils ont écrit des monologues ou dialogues inédits, donnant voix à des souverains ou membres de familles royales pour exprimer des pensées quotidiennes, décalées ou intimes.

Conversation between Edward VII and Alexandra of Denmark about football games, where Alexandra is quite uniformed about. (English is not her mother tongue!) Thus Edward points out that she’s pretty so she can not be intelligent, besides he mentions how she has to suck in her stomach, to get skinnier, etc. because for him he is “superior” than women, hence she is just an “accessory” for him even though she is the queen.
