The French International School Kyoto had the privilege of welcoming Ms. Béatrice Le Fraper du Hellen, Ambassador of France to Japan, for a highly symbolic official visit.
Welcomed by Mr. Boris Colin, Head of School, the Ambassador was accompanied by a delegation including Mr. Mathieu Fournet, Cultural Counsellor and Director General of the Institut français du Japon; Ms. Sandrine Mouchet, Consul General of France in Kyoto, and her colleague Ms. Meï Mabuchi; as well as Ms. Lise Mérigaud, Head of the Consular Section.
During the visit, the Ambassador was able to appreciate the vitality of our school, in a meeting also honored by the presence of representatives of APEK: its President Mr. Xavier Carcelle, its Secretary Ms. Kae Debayles, along with Mr. Romain Rallu and Mr. Julien Bogaers.
One of the highlights of the day was the warm welcome extended by the elected student representatives of the CVC and CVL, who presented Ms. Le Fraper du Hellen with a school T-shirt as a keepsake. The visit continued with productive discussions with the leadership team and the management committee, providing an opportunity to address strategic perspectives and the future of our school in a spirit of constructive dialogue.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Ambassador and the entire delegation for their attentive listening and the interest shown in our school community. We also extend our thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of this event.
