A focus on innovation with Mr. Peter Haasz
Following an immersion in traditional Japanese craftsmanship earlier this week, this new Guidance Meeting led by Ms. Doco gave LFIK the opportunity to welcome Mr. Peter Haasz, entrepreneur and founder of Valinor AI in Hong Kong.
Mr. Haasz shared his unconventional career path with our students, demonstrating that there is no single route to success. Having started out in fundamental sciences (biology and physics) before becoming a financial strategist and then moving into technological entrepreneurship, he perfectly embodies the adaptability required in today’s professional world. He succeeded in demystifying Artificial Intelligence by presenting it not as an end in itself, but as a powerful tool serving practical, real-world solutions.
Mr. Haasz actively engaged the students’ responsiveness. The discussion began with a stimulating scenario designed to challenge common misconceptions about AI and the start-up ecosystem. Far from a traditional lecture, the high school students then worked in small groups to analyze the challenges faced by an entrepreneur in Asia. Using an investigative approach, they were asked to connect the different stages of their guest’s career.
The session concluded with an open discussion, during which students’ curiosity focused on the ethical challenges of technology and the skills needed for the professions of the future.
We extend our warm thanks to Mr. Peter Haasz for his availability and for the clarity of his presentation.
