On Thursday, September 11, lfikyoto had the honor of welcoming Larbi Benboudaoud, renowned champion and Director of High Performance for French Judo. His visit powerfully illustrated the strong ties that unite France and Japan through sport.
A few days later, this same spirit of exchange and friendship came to life during France Day on September 13 at the World Expo in Osaka, where the French International School of Kyoto was proud to be present. The celebration highlighted the friendship between our two countries, with a spectacular judo show as a sporting bridge, followed by a memorable concert by Indochine.
At the France Pavilion, the most visited of the Expo, French and Japanese authorities, including the Mayor of Osaka, gathered for an official ceremony symbolizing the vitality and depth of Franco-Japanese relations.
An unforgettable day, and yet another proof of LFIKYOTO’s place at the heart of exchanges between France and Japan.
