LFIK Christmas party 2021
Dear Parents,
As you know, on Monday we will be starting the last week of classes before the end of the year vacations. The class councils in the junior high and high school have ended this week (your children’s report cards will be available on Pronote at the beginning of next week) and the quarterly reports of the elementary students will be distributed in the middle of the week.
We are also preparing with a lot of joy and dynamism the LFIK Christmas party which will take place on Friday December 17th. You will find the posters (in 3 languages) below. We would like to give you some details about the modalities of this festive moment:
> It will take place in the playground from 3:30 to 5:30 pm. The sanitary context prevents us for the moment from repeating the large-scale parties and from using the gymnasium.
> All classes will end at 3:30 pm. The gate will be open to all parents at 3:30pm. All APS will be cancelled that day (or moved). Parents will be notified by email.
> Two distinct times:
° From 3:30 to 4:15 / 30, students (primary and secondary) remain in groups and under the responsibility of teachers. This will be the opportunity to open this festive moment and listen to the Christmas songs that we will propose the students.
° At 4:30 pm, the students will be handed over to their parents. The party will continue until 5:30 pm. For parents who cannot take responsibility for their children at 4:30 p.m., or who cannot leave them with another family, a daycare system will operate, as usual (until 5 and 6 p.m.). The primary school teachers will send you a note at the beginning of the week to know which children are concerned.
> This festive moment, once the singing is over, will be an opportunity to get together, to enjoy the refreshment stand which will be run by parents, to have your children participate in a Christmas card making workshop, to take advantage of the Photobooth and the presence of Santa Claus to take some wonderful pictures. And have a good time together with music!
> As for Halloween, and because it was requested by many, we are launching a contest for the most beautiful Christmas cake. Parents, children, blow us away by making the most wonderful cake on this broad theme that Christmas offers. Like last time, parents will be able to drop off their cakes from the morning until 3pm, remembering to give the name of the child (a reward will accompany the different winners this time!). Your cakes will be distributed at 4:30 pm to all LFIK students.
> The day will be colorful!
Indeed, in order to make this day a little more magical, all the students (and all the adults who wish to do so:) are invited to wear Christmas colors: Red, green, white or gold! Or a combination of all of these! We expect color from the moment they arrive at 8am!
We are all very much looking forward to seeing you all for this beautiful moment before the school vacations. To answer the kind proposal of several parents, it is possible to come and give Christmas decorations (or accessories for the photobooth) by dropping them off at the office. We are always interested! As you have seen, the premises have been progressively colored and decorated over the days: a big thank you to the teams and to the parent volunteers who have given their time to make the school look great. Many parents will continue to help to make this event a beautiful moment, may they be warmly thanked.

In the meantime, we remind you that the French Institute is holding its Christmas market tomorrow (and Sunday), so go there! A stand of the LFIK will be present !
